Vehicle inspection is a procedure mandated by national or sub-national governments in many developed and fast developing countries, in which a vehicle is inspected with sophisticated equipment to ensure that it conforms to regulations governing safety. Car testing will improve road safety and enhance environmental protection. Other benefits will include: • Safer, more reliable cars, longer vehicle service life & reduced fuel consumption • Reduced air and noise pollution • Potential for lower insurance premiums • Employment opportunities throughout FCT

• Based on a Vehicle Tester Manual , the following checks will be carried out to ascertain than your vehicle is road worthy: Emission Test Light Test Suspension Test Brake Test Wheel Alignment Test- (these tests are computerized). Other areas visual tests like: Under body inspection, Interior inspection, Seat belt, … etc are also carried out.

We presently have over 30 centers spread over in 7 states of the federation .see state portal for detailed addresses.

The Operation hours for inspection at all our centers are 8:0Am – 5:00pm weekdays and 9:00Am to 12:00

No – you have to come to one of our Test Centres
If you PASS the test, you will get a Certificate for the next 12 month (For private vehicles and 6 months for Commercial vehicles) If you fail – you have to come back for a booked Retest within a 30 day window. If you miss this time window – you have to undergo an initial Test again.
No – All Vehicles are expected to undergo periodic routines inspection as applicable

Vehicle Inspection focused on the vehicle only–so the owner doesn’t have to come himself, but we store the ownership details of the vehicle in our online memory bank, therefore we only need the Vehicle Owner’s Certificate to proceed.
RICVIS is a Special Purpose Vehicle SPV set up by the Rivers state government in partnership with Temple SYC Limited a subsidiary a Temple Group Limited to work together with the state’s Vehicle Inspection Officers (VIO) to ensure that motorists are safer on the roads. We have since ensured the reduction of rickety vehicles and accidents in the state via our periodic vehicle inspection.
